Pre-Anaesthetic Assessment and Preparation Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic evaluations for patients scheduled for elective and emergency surgeries. Review patient medical history, previous anaesthesia records, current medications, allergies, comorbidities, and relevant investigations.
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic evaluations for patients scheduled for elective and emergency surgeries
- Review patient medical history, previous anaesthesia records, current medications, allergies, comorbidities, and relevant investigations
- Assess airway, cardiovascular status, respiratory function, and other factors relevant to anaesthetic risk
- Identify high-risk patients and escalate concerns to the consultant anaesthesiologist
- Ensure appropriate preoperative preparation, including fasting status, medication review, and optimization of associated medical conditions
