About the role

The Operation Theatre Nurse will be responsible to support the Medical Doctor in charge of OT and to ensure adequate standard of nursing care in the operation theatre.

• Ensure that surgical policies and procedures are adhered to in relation to operations and correct procedures are followed in the checking of swabs, instruments
• Ensure that correct aseptic techniques are used at all times
• Administer medicines in accordance with guidelines, Policies and Procedures
• Undertake delegated responsibilities when needed to take charge of a shift without direct supervision
