About the role

To receive, sort and check soiled / contaminated instruments, containers, treatment trays and other supplies and equipment that have been used in the operation theater, ICU, wards, emergency (casualty) room and Catheterization Labarotory and prioritize disinfection and sterilization depending on emergency requisitions.

What you'll do

• Receive, sort and check soiled / contaminated instruments, containers, treatment trays and other supplies and equipment that have been used in the operation theater
• Inspect and replace missing or damaged equipment, make minor repairs on them, maintain inventory of supplies to include documenting usage, issuing
• Operate automatic and semi-automatic sterilizing equipments like steam sterilizers, Ethylene oxide sterilizers, Ultrasonic cleaners
• Maintain an accurate record regarding the effectiveness of the various processes of cleaning, disinfections and sterilization
• Ensure all user departments receive supplies of sterile instruments, linen and dressing material in adequate quantities and whenever required
