About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Database Engineer with 1 year to 2 years of experience in managing databases in either on-premises or AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate should possess foundational knowledge of database administration, cloud services, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational support.
What you'll do
- Assist in provisioning and managing database infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Support database configuration, deployment, and automation using Ansible playbooks
- Administer and maintain self managed (hosted on aws ec2) databases and AWS managed databases such has Elasticache, RDS, Opensearch, DynamoDB, Nepture
- Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity using Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana and other monitoring tools
- Perform routine database administration tasks including user management, backup verification, patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities
