This role suits candidates ranging from focused mid-level MySQL specialists to senior multi-database DBAs with cloud expertise.
What you'll do
- Install, configure, and maintain MySQL (5.x/8.x) databases across production, UAT, and development environments
- Manage and support AWS RDS and Aurora MySQL instances — provisioning, patching, upgrades, scaling, and migrations
- Implement and manage replication (GTID/asynchronous), Multi-AZ high availability, Read Replicas, and disaster recovery solutions
- Perform backup and recovery using mysqldump, Percona XtraBackup, RDS automated snapshots, and point-in-time recovery (PITR)
- Monitor database health using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or PMM; proactively resolve bottlenecks
