Principal Software Engineer

About the role

The candidate will work on Nomura Instinet’s proprietary sales and trading platform products, that address our client’s diverse range of trading needs and goals. The platform trades a significant portion of client order flow per day globally and represents a business-critical system for the firm. The team works closely with algo strategy teams, and integrates with multiple UX interfaces, providing users with a well-integrated trading experience.

What you'll do

• Deliver new features, enhancements and bug fixes to our trading platform that has low latency and high throughout processing mandates
• Participate in the full project life cycle including technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development and testing
• Understand the existing business functions and participate in defining new solutions that meet business objectives
• Liaise with the business and development teams with regards to priorities and progress of various tasks and projects
• Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and compliance to company development standards
