About the role
We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Raw Metal Cloud (RMC) team and help deliver reliable, scalable AI infrastructure. RMC builds the software platform that manages the AI infrastructure lifecycle, from hardware onboarding and inventory through networking, provisioning, validation, rack certification, and customer handoff.
What you'll do
- Development of scalable distributed services for RMC’s infrastructure lifecycle platform
- Build reliable workflows for hardware discovery, inventory, configuration, provisioning, validation, certification, and handoff
- Develop automation for GPU and server health checks, burn-in testing, diagnostics, triage, and remediation
- Design orchestration systems that handle long-running operations, retries, partial failures, dependencies, and recovery across large hardware fleets
- Establish consistent infrastructure state and readiness tracking through APIs, data models, telemetry, and auditable workflow transitions
