Engineering Design Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Technology Centre Manager , you will lead the Centre’s engineering and design drafting team, which provides plant and product engineering services to stakeholders across Orica’s global business. The key focus of this position is advancing the Centre from an established drafting operation into a broader engineering shared-services provider.

What you'll do

• Partner with global stakeholders to define requirements, establish clear scopes of work and ensure engineering solutions meet business needs
• Guide product and technology development across concept design, reliability, manufacturability, testing and manufacturing documentation
• Oversee engineering quality, change-control processes, project timelines, budgets and customer-service expectations
• Build and lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team, strengthening capability through coaching, training and effective resource management
• Ensure engineering information, design files and intellectual property are accurately managed and protected
