About the role
This role requires a strong technical leader and hands-on programmer with deep expertise in Python backend development, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures on AWS. You will play a key role in enhancing scalability, reliability, and observability of the platform, while guiding the team on engineering best practices and future-ready architecture, including the gradual adoption of Go where applicable.
What you'll do
- Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing to critical backend development using Python and guiding the team on best practices
- Architect and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems with strong emphasis on performance and reliability
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization, and automation
- Design and develop robust APIs and backend services, ensuring clean architecture, modularity, and maintainability
- Mentor and guide engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce high-quality engineering standards
