What you'll do
- Gather preliminary information for each specific project. Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations
- Develop electrical systems for solar power installations, including PV systems, inverters, wiring, and grid connections
- Develop detailed electrical plans, schematics, and layouts using CAD software, including single-line electrical drawings and site plans
- Work closely with the procurement team to source the necessary components. Verify that the solar equipment choices are correct for the intended design goals
- Perform complex electrical calculations for transformer ground fault currents and cable sizing
