About the role
The position will be responsible to perform operational tasks for all procurement requirements in a given or group of product or service categories, adhering to category strategy, in line with its financial and operational requirements. Participates in managing vendor accounts, establishes strong inter-departmental relationship and provides time bound execution of tenders.
What you'll do
- Conduct a market search to identify a potential supplier as well as to maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers and business community
- Evaluate completeness and accuracy of specification put forward by user departments
- Monitor and act upon Purchase Enquiring raised by User Departments
- Develop RFP/RFQ/RFI and other tender documentations and subsequently run there sourcing events end to end, including providing justification for recommended selection
- Responsible for Tender administration generally including creating system documents, printing and approvals circulation, checking for any required documents
