About the role
You will be the single point of ownership for our ASIC physical design engagement at the client site. You will lead a team of deployed engineers along with TPM's, own delivery from netlist handoff to GDS/tapeout, and build a strong, trust-based relationship with the client as the technical and managerial face of the organization.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end delivery of backend/PD milestones (floorplan, place & route, CTS, optimization, signoff, tapeout) against schedule, quality, and cost
- Conduct regular team reviews (daily stand-ups, weekly technical/QoR reviews, milestone and post-mortem reviews) to track progress, catch issues early
- Provide structured feedback, coaching, and performance reviews for deployed engineers; identify skill gaps and drive upskilling
- Manage and mentor deployed engineers onsite: resource allocation, task planning, and escalation
- Build and sustain a strong rapport with client stakeholders (engineering leads, architects, and management) through proactive communication, transparency
