About the role
Supervisor Heavy Machine Shop at Randstad. Supervise daily production on CNC Turning Centers, Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), and conventional lathes, milling, and cylindrical grinding machines.
What you'll do
- Supervise daily production on CNC Turning Centers, Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), and conventional lathes, milling, and cylindrical grinding machines
- Interpret advanced engineering drawings, manufacturing process sheets, and complex Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols to guide machinists
- Liaise with the tool room to manage cutting tool inventory, optimize insert selections, and resolve issues related to tool wear and breakages
- Oversee machine setups, fixture alignments, and initial component test runs before approving full-batch production runs
- Review, verify, and make minor edits to CNC G-codes and M-codes on machine controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens) to fix part deviations or improve cutting paths
