About the role
The role covers new product development, system-level thermal design, cooling system optimization, reliability improvement, and product validation from concept through production and field deployment. The engineer will work closely with global engineering, electrical, controls, safety, manufacturing, suppliers, and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, cost-effective, and high-performance energy storage solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead thermal design and system integration of utility-scale BESS, including battery racks, DC blocks, and containerized systems
- Develop thermal models and perform CFD, heat transfer, fluid flow, and HVAC analysis
- Drive DFMEA, reliability assessments, root cause analysis, and product validation
- Lead BESS gas management, ventilation, purge systems, and deflagration protection
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 68, NFPA 69, NFPA 855, and applicable IEC/UL standards
