About the role
This position is the technical owner of the core layer for Renesas Hardware Support Packages, enabling MATLAB/Simulink workflows across Renesas MCU families. This role architects and delivers critical platform capabilities such as External Mode, PIL, scheduling infrastructure, and code generation integration, and ensures robust integration with compilers and toolchains.
What you'll do
- Architect and lead development of MW HSP foundation components including External Mode, PIL, Scheduler, and CodeGen integration
- Perform deep architecture reviews, troubleshoot escalations, and provide technical direction to senior engineers
- Own GitHub release workflow, validation strategy, and long‑term maintainability (branching, CI expectations, regression readiness)
