About the role
You will help keep our OpenShift container platform healthy, secure and up to date, and act as a technical point of contact for the application teams that rely on it. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with a solid Linux background and a few years of real-world Kubernetes experience who wants to work on a platform at genuine scale, with all the complexity that mixed cloud, on-prem and edge environments bring.
What you'll do
- Help keep our OpenShift container platform healthy, secure and up to date, and act as a technical point of contact for the application teams that rely on it
- Operate, patch and upgrade OpenShift clusters and their underlying Linux hosts across cloud, on-premises and remote environments
- Monitor platform health, respond to incidents and alerts during working hours, and drive root-cause analysis and follow-up
- Work with development teams to understand their applications and design how they run on OpenShift
- Maintain and extend platform components delivered through GitOps, and contribute improvements back to shared configuration and charts
