About the role
Looking for an experienced Direct Procurement professional to manage strategic sourcing of mechanical commodities, with end-to-end ownership of annual procurement spend, supplier strategy, cost optimization, localization, and supply continuity.
What you'll do
- Manage significant annual procurement spend across mechanical commodities, ensuring cost competitiveness, savings delivery, and effective spend management
- Lead sourcing for Sheet Metal, Castings, Forgings, Machined Components, Fabrication, Plastics, Enclosures and Mechanical Assemblies
- Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies, including supplier consolidation, localization and alternate/dual sourcing
- Drive commercial negotiations, long-term agreements, cost reduction and productivity initiatives
- Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, technology and delivery performance
