The role requires strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, costing and close collaboration with engineering, quality, Industrial, Supply chain, and production teams to enable localized, cost-effective, high-quality supply.
What you'll do
- Localization & Strategic Sourcing Identify, qualify, and develop local suppliers to support Make-in-Region/Make-in-India initiatives
- Align with the category strategy, lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations for plastics, metal stamping, rubber parts, machined parts, castings
- Drive supplier KPIs: OTD, PPM, cost savings, and responsiveness
- Monitor supplier risks and implement mitigation plans
- Strong vendor onboarding, persuasion, and relationship-building capability
