About the role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Underwriter to join our team at GIFT City. The role involves evaluating and underwriting insurance/reinsurance risks, ensuring profitability, maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines, and supporting business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound underwriting judgment, and experience in handling corporate and specialty insurance portfolios.
What you'll do
- Assess and underwrite new and renewal insurance/reinsurance proposals in line with company underwriting guidelines
- Analyze financial statements, risk exposure, claims history, and market trends to determine risk acceptability and pricing
- Structure policy terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing for corporate clients
- Coordinate with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders for risk evaluation and policy issuance
- Review and negotiate policy wordings, endorsements, and treaty terms
