About the role
The Lead VMware Platform Specialist is responsible for technical ownership and stability of enterprise VMware platforms. This role combines deep hands-on expertise, platform-level oversight, and technical leadership, including automation adoption and mentoring of L1/L2 engineers.
What you'll do
- Own and lead enterprise VMware vSphere (7.x/8.x) platform operations
- Provide technical leadership for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9.x) lifecycle activities
- Act as technical escalation point for complex platform issues
- Lead and govern vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, HA, DRS, clustering, and resource management
- Drive performance optimization and capacity planning
