About the role
The Product Accounting team at Stripe supports products across Stripe by providing guidance on accounting implications and enabling teams to make informed strategic decisions. The team records business transactions accurately and on time in the balance sheet and income statement, and partners with cross-functional and international teams in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Join the Product Accounting team to support payment processing cost accounting
- Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing cost accounting
- Partner with product, go-to-market, and Finance teams to understand new products, features, and contracts
- Partner with systems and engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and design processes and controls for emerging business activities
