About the role
We are seeking an experienced R&D Product Development Engineer II to drive end-to-end product development activities for connector products, with a strong focus on plastic and sheet metal component design . The role involves managing both New Product Development (NPD) and sustenance engineering projects , from concept generation through product validation, qualification, and release.
What you'll do
- Deliver global NPD and Sustenance project activities like Concept generation, Concept validation, Creation of detailed designs and drawings
- Design of ‘Connector’ Plastic and Sheet metal components in Creo by applying DFM/DFA principles
- Identify VAVE opportunities and work with plant and other stake holders to implement them
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives using TEOA / Digital methodologies
- Perform tolerance stack analysis, DFMEA, conduct design reviews and basic FEA simulation
