About the role
TE Connectivity's Digital Data Networks organization is seeking an experienced Staff R&D/Product Development Engineer to lead the development of next-generation high-speed I/O connectors and cage assemblies for AI servers, networking equipment, high-performance computing, and hyperscale data centers.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end development of high-speed connectors, cage assemblies, and cooling solutions from concept through production release
- Translate customer VOC and mechanical, signal integrity, thermal, and manufacturing requirements into robust product architectures and specifications
- Design and optimize HSIO connectors, contact systems, housings, grounding structures, cages, EMI shielding, latching and retention mechanisms, alignment features
- Develop thermal solutions including heat sinks, thermal bridges, thermal interface solutions and cold plates
- Create 3D models, 2D drawings, bills of materials, product specifications, and engineering documentation using Creo or equivalent CAD tools
