As a Mechanical Engineer III , you will be part of Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives, drive cost reduction strategies focusing on precision mechanical design & tolerancing, structural stiffness, thermal stability of our scientific instruments.
What you'll do
- Design precision mechanical components, fixtures, and motion systems for TEM/SEM lamella handling and microscopy platforms
- Develop GD&T schemes and tolerance stack-up analyses for micron- and sub-micron-level assemblies
- Perform tolerance analysis, stack-up analysis, and GD&T to ensure assembly accuracy and product performance
- Perform structural, thermal, vibration, and deformation analyses using FEA to predict dimensional changes under operating conditions
- Apply tolerance compensation methods, datum strategies, and precision alignment techniques to achieve repeatable assembly accuracy
