The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment at the project site by implementing safety guidelines, conducting audits, monitoring compliance, and driving awareness among workers and contractors. The role requires strong knowledge of statutory safety norms, risk assessment, and incident reporting within construction environments.
What you'll do
- Monitor and enforce site safety procedures as per statutory regulations and company policies
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and ensure immediate corrective action
- Develop, implement and maintain safety plans, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response procedures
- Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and training programs for workers, supervisors & contractors
- Maintain records for safety checklists, incident reports, accident registers, and training registers
