About the role

The Head of Compensation, Benefits & Payroll is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, design, implementation, and operational management of all compensation, benefits, and payroll programmes within USBIPL. The role ensures that Total Rewards programmes are market competitive, compliant with Indian legal and regulatory requirements, operationally efficient, and aligned with U.S. Bank's global reward philosophy.

What you'll do

• Lead the India execution of the annual compensation cycle, including modelling, calibration, risk adjustment, and communication
• Implement executive pay frameworks across India, tailoring them to local compliance and cultural nuances
• Provide strategic input for Committee and Board reporting (as applicable), ensuring accurate India disclosures and alignment with global governance standards
• Partner with Finance to ensure that the annual compensation expense remains within plan and annual forecasting incorporates compensation planning
• Partner with the HR Compliance Officer to ensure the accuracy of any reports or disclosures requiring compensation, benefit and payroll data
