About the role
The Sourcing & Development Engineer – Non-Metallics is responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing, and managing suppliers for non-metallic materials and components. This role bridges engineering, procurement, quality, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing, technical feasibility, quality compliance, and timely product development.
What you'll do
- Supplier Identification & Sourcing
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers for non-metallic components and raw materials
- Conduct supplier capability assessments and technical audits
- Cost breakdown analysis, and negotiations
- Drive cost optimization initiatives (VA/VE, alternate materials, localization)
