Developer II - Embedded Software

About the role

The engineer will work across the Android audio software stack, from Android Framework and Native Audio components through Audio HAL and underlying platform/DSP interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AOSP Android Audio Framework, excellent C++ programming and system-level debugging skills, and preferably experience developing audio functionality for Automotive Infotainment / Android Automotive (AAOS) products.

What you'll do

• Work with AOSP source code and implement audio requirements at Framework and Native layers
• Develop and debug functionality involving: AudioManager / AudioService AudioFlinger AudioPolicyService / AudioPolicyManager AudioTrack / AudioRecord Audio Focus Audio…
• Work with concurrent audio sources such as Media, Navigation, Voice Assistant, Phone/Call and System Sounds
• Analyze audio behavior during boot, shutdown, suspend/resume and power-state transitions
• Work closely with Audio HAL, BSP/DSP and hardware teams to identify and resolve cross-layer issues
