About the role
As the Quality Engineering Lead – Cloud Platform , you will define and drive the quality engineering strategy for the Cloud Platform and help raise quality across the products that build on it. You will establish quality standards and test policies, common test harnesses and tooling, quality metrics and dashboards, environment promotion gates, and release management and readiness governance .
What you'll do
- Set quality standards and test policy and drive consistent adoption across platform and product engineering teams
- Establish common test harnesses and tooling for API, integration, compatibility, performance, reliability, and cross-product testing
- Define quality metrics and dashboards that make regression health, performance, reliability, escaped defects, and release quality measurable and visible
- Set promotion gates by environment , defining the quality and readiness criteria required for software to progress toward production
- Own release management and readiness , coordinating releases across teams and governing release risks, dependencies, and exceptions
