Accountant

About the role

As an Accountant, you will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. You will ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. You will prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.

What you'll do

• Manage month-end inventory close activities, including inventory reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and inventory-related financial reporting
• Monitor inventory balances and ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with company policies, accounting standards
• Perform monthly reconciliations between inventory subledgers and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies on a timely basis
• Execute inventory cost adjustments, including purchase price variance (PPV) analysis, landed cost allocations, and other inventory costing activities
• Analyze inventory movements, valuation, variances, reserves, and key inventory metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
