About the role
We are looking for skilled DBAs / Data Engineers to support data and database migration activities as part of a major carve-out. The role covers discovery, assessment, migration design, execution, validation, and post-migration support for databases and data platforms moving into the new target environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct database and data platform discovery: inventory, sizing, versions, configurations, dependencies, and data flows
- Perform detailed assessments of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and data stores for migration readiness
- Design and execute database migrations (logical/physical, online/offline, replication-based, or tool-assisted) with minimal business disruption
- Develop and implement data migration strategies, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, cleansing, and validation rules where required
- Handle schema conversion, object migration (tables, indexes, stored procedures, functions, jobs, etc.), and performance tuning in the target environment
