Writing a fresher resume when you have no experience

Projects, internships, college work and part-time jobs all count. Here is how to present them.

21 October 2026 · 5 min read

Recruiters hiring freshers are not looking for experience. They are looking for evidence that you can learn fast and finish what you start.

What to include

  • Two or three projects with what you built and what it did
  • Internships, even short ones, with one result each
  • Part-time work: tutoring, retail, delivery all show reliability
  • Certifications relevant to the role, such as PL-300 or Tally Prime
  • A skills section that uses standard names

What to leave out

Objectives that say nothing ("seeking a challenging role"), hobbies unrelated to work, and your date of birth, religion or marital status.
