Use Highlisted in Claude or ChatGPT

Find the jobs that fit you, see why each one fits, get help tailoring your application, and apply, without leaving the chat. Matches come from your Highlisted profile; jobs come from employers' own careers pages and from employers hiring on Highlisted.

Connector address

You'll need a Highlisted account. Create one and add your resume first, so matches have something to go on.

Add it in Claude

  • On claude.ai or the Claude desktop app: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  • Name it Highlisted and paste the address above. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty.
  • Press Connect. A Highlisted page opens: sign in, check what Claude may do, and press Allow.
  • In a chat, turn Highlisted on from the tools menu and ask away. On mobile, connectors you added on the web are available too.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http shortlisted https://highlisted.com/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in.

Add it in ChatGPT

  • Turn on developer mode: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → Developer mode (on plans that offer it).
  • Choose Create (or Add custom MCP server), name it Highlisted, paste the address above and pick OAuth as the authentication.
  • Sign in on the Highlisted page that opens and press Allow.
  • In a chat, pick Highlisted from the tools (+) menu. ChatGPT asks you to confirm before any step that sends or changes something.

What you can ask

  • “Find data analyst jobs in Pune that fit me, paying at least 8 lakh.”
  • “Which of my matches am I most likely to get shortlisted for, and why?”
  • “Show me the full details of the second job and what I'm missing for it.”
  • “Write a short cover note for that job using my real experience, then apply once I approve it.”
  • “This one is on the company's own site. Prepare my answers and give me the link.”
  • “I applied on their site just now. Add it to my tracker.”
  • “Set my pay floor to 7 lakh and stop showing me night-shift jobs.”
  • “Send me a weekly alert for Power BI jobs in Bengaluru and remote.”

What it won't do

  • Apply or change anything unless you ask in the chat. Applications go out only after you approve the exact note and answers.
  • Submit forms on employers' websites for you. For those jobs you finish on the employer's page.
  • Show anyone's phone number or email, read your messages, or see other people's private data.
  • Keep your conversations. Your profile changes only through what you explicitly save.
  • Charge you anything. Highlisted is free for job seekers.

Permissions

  • See jobs and how well they fit you and see your profile: always part of the connection.
  • Update your profile and saved jobs and apply to jobs for you: you can untick either on the Highlisted sign-in page.
  • Disconnect any time: account menu → Connected apps.

Tools

  • search_jobs: Search open jobs by words, city, remote, experience, pay, job type, field and date, ranked for you with a match %, reasons and gaps.
  • my_matches: Your two feeds: jobs that fit what you want, and jobs where you're a top candidate.
  • get_job: One job in full: description, must-haves, pay, how to apply, screening questions and your fit breakdown.
  • prepare_application: The job's must-haves next to your matching experience, your gaps and likely questions, so the assistant can tailor a note or resume points.
  • apply_to_job: Sends your application on Highlisted after you approve the exact note and answers. For jobs on an employer's site it sends nothing and gives you the link.
  • mark_applied: Adds a job you applied to on the employer's site to your tracker.
  • get_my_profile: Your profile and preferences (never your phone number).
  • update_my_profile: Changes preferences and skills you ask for: cities, pay floor, job types, roles you want, things to avoid, visibility.
  • list_my_applications / list_saved_jobs: Your tracker and saved jobs.
  • save_job / unsave_job / create_job_alert: Keep jobs and get alerts for new ones.
  • search / fetch: Plain job search and full text, used by ChatGPT deep research.
  • search_candidates: Recruiter accounts only: find visible candidates from a description, masked, without contact details.
  • get_job_detail / get_employer_context / begin_application / submit_application / check_application_status: The same jobs and applying, in the shared format job agents use (OJCP, below). Nothing is sent before you approve it.

For other job agents (OJCP)

Highlisted also speaks the Open Job Context Protocol, a shared standard for AI job agents. Any agent that knows it can find us at https://highlisted.com/.well-known/ojcp.json.

  • Without signing in, an agent can search jobs and read jobs and employers. Every job links to the employer's own posting when we have it.
  • To apply for you, the agent needs you to sign in to Highlisted and allow it, just like Claude or ChatGPT.
  • It first shows you exactly what would go to the employer. Nothing is sent until you say yes.
  • For jobs on an employer's own site, it gives you the link and sends nothing. You apply there.
