About the role
Day-to-day activities include developing and documenting batch job processes, launching and monitoring batch processes, data restoration using BRMS (System i), maintaining high operational uptime and stringent SLAs through timely batch processing and request management, coordinating with applications and development teams as well as other operational and project-based tasks, mentoring of teammates and developing KPIs and operational standards.
What you'll do
- Verify Turnover between shifts are transitioned wholly and in detail
- Execute tasks required for backup and recovery operations (tape setup and mounting activities
- Work with third party tape management and inventory solutions
- Manage offsite tape inventory (Iron Mountain)
- Audit offsite tape invoices and engage vendor as/if necessary
