About the role
The Site Safety Engineer is responsible for cultivating a robust safety culture and enhancing the Safety Management System within project areas of solar manufacturing facilities. They conduct thorough EHS inspections and audits, identify environmental aspects and impacts, and ensure strict adherence to legal requirements and internal guidelines.
What you'll do
- Improve and enhance the Safety Management System (SMS) at the project area, ensuring it effectively identifies, assesses, and mitigates safety risks
- Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and internal guidelines related to occupational health, safety, and environmental practices
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety procedures, hazard identification, emergency response, and environmental protection measures
