About the role
The Shift In-Charge is responsible for overseeing all smelting activities during their assigned shift, including both operational management and safety compliance. This role focuses on maintaining the efficient execution of processes, managing manpower, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
What you'll do
- Responsible for managing cross-functional coordination with maintenance, production, and safety teams
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of instrumentation-related issues to minimize downtime and enhance plant reliability
- Execute calibration procedures and maintain records to guarantee optimal performance and traceability of instrumentation devices
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new instrumentation installations or upgrades, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems
- Analyze instrumentation data and generate reports to assist in process optimization, energy efficiency initiatives, and cost reduction strategies
