About the role
As the Site Security Lead for a coal mine, the primary objective is to ensure the safety and security of the mining operation through strategic planning, surveillance, intelligence gathering, and stakeholder management. This role involves implementing security automation, conducting vigilance activities, coordinating with external bodies, and providing support for legal activities.
What you'll do
- Implement automated surveillance systems and CCTV for continuous monitoring of the plant area
- Establish access control protocols to regulate entry and exit points within the mining premises
- Implement a combination of technical and physical security measures to safeguard critical areas
- Monitor plant activities regularly to identify suspicious behavior and potential threats to mining operations
- Implement security protocols to safeguard the railway line during coal transportation, preventing theft or vandalism
