About the role
The job purpose of a Shift Engineer - Thermal Tools is to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of thermal tools and equipment in manufacturing or industrial settings. They ensure production meets quality standards, adhere to safety regulations, lead teams, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reliability.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain pre-annealing tools to ensure proper preparation and treatment of materials before the annealing process
- Oversee and manage post-annealing tools to ensure accurate and efficient processing after the annealing stage
- Manage and optimize the use of gases during thermal processing, ensuring correct flow and composition for effective and safe operations
- Implement CAPA plans promptly for major breakdowns, ensuring quick resolution and putting preventive measures in place to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure thermal processes meet specified quality standards and performance criteria
