About the role
The Infrastructure Supply Chain Automation team sits within AWS Infrastructure Services and directly contributes to the scaling capability of core AWS services. We work alongside software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers across AWS.
What you'll do
- You start your morning reviewing deployment metrics and triaging any operational alerts
- By mid-morning, you are whiteboarding a new automation workflow with teammates, weighing tradeoffs around data structures, algorithms, and service dependencies
- After lunch, you pair with a junior engineer on a code change, coaching them through the review process
- Later, you pick up one of the projects waiting in the team's backlog, scoping the technical approach and drafting a design document for peer review
