What you'll do
- Act as the floating technical SME across Core Engineering squads, embedding where the hardest current problem is and moving on once the team is self-sufficient
- Review and approve component and service designs, sharing design authority with squad leads so that architecture approval stops being a single-person bottleneck
- Own the design of complex, cross-service changes spanning multiple owners — provider data model changes, extraction pipeline evolution, migrations
- Write production code on the critical path. This is a hands-on role; you will be in the repositories, not only in documents
- Set and raise the bar on non-functional
