About the role
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer in the infrastructure solutions software team in our CE-SW group. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with responsibility for leading and developing a local engineering team. The focus will be on driving the validation and productisation of our infrastructure platforms, with strong collaboration across software engineering, quality, test and release functions.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a team of software engineers at your site, providing technical direction
- Drive system validation and productisation for Infrastructure System Solutions, establishing effective validation plans
- Advance scalable test infrastructure, CI, regression capabilities and quality metrics to improve coverage, efficiency and confidence throughout the development lifecycle
- Proven experience leading and developing software engineers, combining line management with strong hands-on technical leadership
- This role offers the scope to influence our products, engineering practices and teams while contributing to some of our most sophisticated platforms
