About the role
The Design Engineer II is responsible for preparing drawings and schematics for engineering projects, working closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies, or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs, which require a high degree of precision using specialized equipment/tools.
What you'll do
- Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for bioprocess equipment (e.g., skids, pressure vessels, piping assemblies)
- Develop P&IDs, GA drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent)
- Ensure designs meet ASME, BPE, and GMP standards
- Support design optimization for cost, quality, and lead-time improvements
- Work closely with process engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
