About the role
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in maritime accounting, financial reporting, and vessel financial operations while working closely with experienced accounting professionals. The trainee will develop a strong understanding of ship management accounting processes, compliance requirements, and financial controls within the maritime industry.
What you'll do
- Assist in processing accounting transactions for assigned vessels, including invoices, expenses, payments, and crew-related costs
- Support the preparation of periodic financial reports and budget monitoring activities
- Assist in generating client invoices and maintaining records of receivables and payments
- Support intercompany invoice processing and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and update financial data in company systems
