Director, Software Development

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the global YourCause engineering organization at Blackbaud. This leader builds and develops a strong engineering leadership team, balances rapid growth with the reliability that large enterprise customers expect, uses AI to accelerate delivery and raise quality, and holds the organization to a high bar for technical excellence and operational reliability.

What you'll do

• Build, mentor, and inspire diverse, high-performing engineering teams and leaders across application development
• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation – leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and improve quality
• Shape and execute technical strategy in close partnership with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, and other key stakeholders
• Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery by guiding teams to plan with clarity, mitigate risks early, and experiment responsibly
• Own end-to-end delivery from development through operations, embedding security, reliability, and automation
