About the role
The Design Engineer – Reciprocating Compressors will be responsible for the mechanical design, analysis, and engineering support of reciprocating compressors. The role involves designing components and systems that meet customer specifications, applicable codes, and internal standards while ensuring reliability, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
What you'll do
- Responsible for the mechanical design, analysis, and engineering support of reciprocating compressors
- Design and develop reciprocating compressors and compressor-related parts, including cylinders, pistons, crankshaft-driven systems, valves
- Prepare detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and drawings in line with customer requirements and internal standards
- Perform design calculations related to strength, fatigue, pressure containment, vibration and thermal considerations
- Ensure designs comply with applicable international and industry standards such as API 618, ASME, ISO, PED , and customer specifications
