About the role
A Preschool Curriculum Developer is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing educational programs for young children, typically between the ages of 2 to 5. They design developmentally appropriate curricula that focus on fostering children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
What you'll do
- Design and develop age-appropriate, engaging, and comprehensive curriculum plans
- Ensure alignment with national and state educational standards, as well as the philosophy and goals of the preschool
- Conduct thorough research on early childhood development theories and educational best practices
- Analyze trends in early childhood education to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and effective
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly lesson plans that integrate various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, and physical education
