About the role
As a Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of plant instrumentation and automation systems in a chemical manufacturing plant.
What you'll do
- Lead day-to-day instrumentation maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable and continuous operation of plant instruments and automation systems
- Plan and carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of instruments and automation systems
- Troubleshoot DCS/PLC hardware and software issues, control loops and field instrumentation problems
- Manage instrumentation maintenance through SAP PM, including work orders, PM schedules, equipment records, spares and maintenance history
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting, process improvements, plant modifications, control philosophy and reliability improvement
