About the role
We are seeking an experienced Principal / Engineering Manager - Signalling with 15+ years of experience in Metro, CBTC, ETCS, Mainline Rail, High-Speed Rail, and Freight Rail projects. The role is responsible for providing technical leadership, design oversight, system integration, testing and commissioning, safety assurance, and lifecycle management of railway signalling and telecommunications systems.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of railway signalling systems including Interlocking, ATP, ATO, ATS, CBTC, and ETCS/ERTMS
- Provide technical guidance on signalling principles, control tables, route locking, signalling layouts, and interlocking logic
- Ensure seamless integration between signalling, telecommunications, rolling stock, traction power, SCADA, AFC, PSD, and other railway subsystems
- Develop and review system architecture, interface specifications, engineering deliverables, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with railway standards and safety requirements, including EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159, IEC, AREMA, and SIL requirements
