About the role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Signalling Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Metro, CBTC, ETCS, Mainline Rail, High-Speed Rail, and Freight Rail projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, commissioning, and technical delivery of railway signalling and telecommunications systems.
What you'll do
- Design, review, and implement railway signalling systems including Interlocking, ATP, ATO, ATS, CBTC, and ETCS/ERTMS
- Coordinate interfaces between signalling, telecommunications, rolling stock, traction power, SCADA, AFC, PSD, and other railway subsystems
- Develop and review system architecture, requirements, design documents, and engineering calculations
- Ensure compliance with railway standards and safety requirements including EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159, IEC, AREMA, and SIL requirements
- Support safety assurance activities including Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FTA, risk assessments, and Safety Case development
