About the role
We are looking for a mid-level Bio-IT Bioinformatics Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT), Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), and Sanger sequencing. The ideal candidate has a track record of developing or optimizing analytical workflows, troubleshooting sequencing data issues, and integrating new tools and methods to advance genomic analysis capabilities.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and optimize bioinformatics workflows for ONT, NGS, and Sanger sequencing data
- Support the expansion of service offerings by implementing novel data analysis methods and tools
- Perform quality control, alignment, variant calling, and annotation for diverse sequencing projects
- Collaborate with wet-lab scientists, software engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality genomic analyses
- Host or participate in virtual meetings with key customers to provide technical support, discuss results, or assist with project planning as required
